Nordic Libraries Annual

Nordic Libraries Annual is an annual conference looking at topical issues in public libraries and library development.

This year the conference will be organized online on 3-4.11.2021, and the focus is on libraries and democracy.

According to many Nordic library policies, the task of libraries is to ensure citizens’ equal access to knowledge, education, culture, and new citizenship skills. The work carried out by libraries should support inclusiveness, community, and opportunities for making an impact, to strengthen social cohesion and the readiness of citizens to assume social responsibility.

Through these actions, libraries support citizenship, which in turn enables participation to democratic processes.

We wish to see Libraries Creating Strong Societies, which is also our theme for 2021!

Conference registration 2021 is now open, register here! Registration closes 31th October, 2021.

Participation in the conference is free of charge. The language of the conference is English.
