Contact information register for outreach youth workers

Personal data refers to any information that can be directly or indirectly linked to a natural person. 

On this page, we will outline the instructions we follow, our methods for processing and storing your data, and what rights you have. These guidelines will never limit the rights granted to you by the General Data Protection Regulation or any other legally valid decision.

Purpose of processing your personal is to collect the contact information of organisations and persons who are involved in youth outreach work so that people who need the service can find the outreach workers in their local area. The register is also used to maintain the mailing list.

The legal basis for the processing of your data is Article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR (EU 2016/679), which provides that data is processed for performing tasks carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the Regional State Administrative Agency.

This is also provided for in section 4, paragraph 2 of the Data Protection Act (1050/2018).

Data entered in the register include: person's name, organisation, the operating area of the organisation, the person's work email, the person's work phone number, organisation website, other means of communication, organisation address, region and AVI region.

As a rule, the information entered in the register is obtained from organisations through online surveys, otherwise by e-mail or by phone.

Personal data are not transferred outside the EU or the EEA.

The data will be stored as long as the outreach youth worker remains in their positions as an outreach youth worker. However, the data will be retained until the end of the calendar year after they leave their position.

The processing of your personal data also does not involve automatic decision-making or profiling.

The tasks of the Regional State Administrative Agencies referred to in this notification have been centralised nationally to one Regional State Administrative Agency, which is responsible for the processing of your personal data as the controller.
