Exemptions from teachers’ and head teachers’ qualification requirements
Information about the application
Vocational education and training
If you wish to apply for the exemption from qualification requirements referred to in the Vocational Education and Training Act, submit an application to your local Regional State Administrative Agency. Comprehensive school education, general upper secondary education and basic education in the arts
The Regional State Administrative Agency for Southern Finland processes exemptions from teachers’ and head teachers’ qualification requirements under the Basic Education Act and the Act on General Upper Secondary Education and exemptions from head teachers’ qualification requirements under the Basic Art Education Act. Submit your application for an exemption to the competent Regional State Administrative Agency. Attach copies of the study and work certificates on the basis of which you are applying for the exemption.
