Animals and animal testing
Regional State Administrative Agencies are responsible for enforcing the laws governing animal health and welfare. We are also the competent authority for certain animal-related licences, notices and registrations.

We advise and enforce
We coordinate local authority animal welfare enforcement and provide advice on controlling animal diseases. We draw up regional action plans for preventing the spread of highly contagious animal diseases and, if necessary, take steps to stop and eradicate outbreaks.
